Job Summary
In this position, you will create metrics that best approximate user value, conduct volume forecasting, user analysis, and define and optimize product design trade-offs. In addition, you will also develop new modeling techniques and propose new tools. You will also be expected to collaborate with internal and external teams on search, recommendation, advertising product testing, exploration, and recommendation.Company Info
Rakuten Institute of Technology (RIT) is a core AI research institute in Rakuten, and has 6 strategic bases in Tokyo, Singapore, Boston, San Mateo, Bengaluru, and Paris. We conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, knowledge discovery, and data mining, and have a dedicated AI research team that specializes in data mining, and optimization of user experiences and marketing effectiveness within the Rakuten Group. We conduct advanced research in machine learning and bandit algorithms, and conduct the forefront research of reinforcement learning and optimization of the bandit algorithm within the Rakuten Group.Duties
This position seeks a person who can create metrics that best approximate user value and conduct volume forecasting, user analysis, and define and optimize product design trade-offs. Scientific use of data and proactive definition of product design, as well as optimization of product design, are expected. In addition, you will be expected to collaborate internally and externally to proactively conduct scientific use of data and optimize product design.
