    Rakuten Institute of Technology (RIT) is a core AI research institute in Rakuten, and has 6 strategic bases in Tokyo, Singapore, Boston, San Mateo, Bengaluru, and Paris. We conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, knowledge discovery, and data mining, and have a dedicated AI research team that specializes in data mining, and optimization of user experiences and marketing effectiveness within the Rakuten Group. We conduct advanced research in machine learning and bandit algorithms, and conduct the forefront research of reinforcement learning and optimization of the bandit algorithm within the Rakuten Group.

    Duties

    大規模言語モデル（LLM）研究チームにおいて、最先端の生成AIおよび言語モデル研究を推進します。主な業務は、マルチリンガルモデリング、コード生成、マルチモーダル技術の研究開発です。実験設計、コード開発、評価、結果分析を行い、革新的な深層学習技術の開発に取り組みます。研究プロジェクトの立案から実行、長期的な研究目標の設定、研究成果の公開や知識共有も重要な役割となります。グローバルに分散する研究チーム内で協働し、組織横断的なパートナーシップを構築しながら、生成AIの理解と能力を拡張する研究に従事します。また、倫理的で責任あるAI開発の観点から、技術的な課題に取り組むことも求められます。
