メインフレーム上の業務システムで培った高い信頼性を、オープンシステムに継承するためのミドルウェア開発に従事します。具体的には、ミドルウェア製品（PITON）の設計、製造、試験を行い、システム化構想の立案やフィージビリティ検証を支援します。さらに、システム開発、移行、運用フェーズのプロセス整備や、獲得したノウハウの形式知化を通じてITプロセスの標準化と高度化に取り組みます。業務には、システムのモデル化、アーキテクチャ最適化、ソフトウェアの部品化、再構成による新たな価値創造、複数ユーザシステムの分析と評価、ITプロセスのカスタマイズなどが含まれます。
