As a data base engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, operating, and optimizing data base systems. Specific tasks include large-scale data base design and implementation, data security management, performance tuning, fault response, backup and recovery planning and implementation, data modeling, and optimization of data base management systems, among others.
