Rakuten's Language Program uses NLP and ML technologies to automatically generate product catalogs, descriptions, and structuring information from images. We are looking for researchers with a strong research background in NLP fields, and a desire to participate in Language Program research and development, system architecture, and collaboration with other researchers, as well as presenting and participating in scientific conferences and academic discussions.

In this position, you will create metrics that best approximate user value, conduct volume forecasting, user analysis, and define and optimize product design trade-offs. In addition, you will also develop new modeling techniques and propose new tools. You will also be expected to collaborate with internal and external teams on search, recommendation, advertising product testing, exploration, and recommendation.
