Rakuten Institute of Technology (RIT) is a core AI research institute in Rakuten, and has 6 strategic bases in Tokyo, Singapore, Boston, San Mateo, Bengaluru, and Paris. We conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, knowledge discovery, and data mining, and have a dedicated AI research team that specializes in data mining, and optimization of user experiences and marketing effectiveness within the Rakuten Group. We conduct advanced research in machine learning and bandit algorithms, and conduct the forefront research of reinforcement learning and optimization of the bandit algorithm within the Rakuten Group.Job Summary
In the data science team, we apply statistical and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and analyze complex data sets. We also share complex analysis results with non-technical staff, continuously improve predictive model performance, and use technologies such as GCP, Python, SQL, ETL, and machine learning to work in an international team.Duties
As a member of the EC service development department of Rakuten Group, you will be responsible for the following as a data scientist. Specific job content includes the development of predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques, analysis of complex data sets, and improvement of predictive model performance and non-technical staff understanding.
